Kiyora Kanaru Miyajima 18-22

Ch 1 18-22

In this section, the two romantic leads finally have a conversation! And Kiyora will meet a new supernatural creature (while remaining surprisingly not-surprised that he appears out of nowhere).

I was supposed to follow along after the prince, you see.

きよら:恩賀くん手をつないでくれたのよ
Kiyora: Onga-kun held my hand!

Notes: The phrase おまたせしました is common in restaurants. It doesn't mean the customer had to wait especially long for their food.

Kiyora Kanaru Miyajima 14-17

Kiyora Kanaru Miyajima 14-17

Finally, I've gotten the update for the next few pages. It's not that the dialog is particularly difficult; I've been kind of busy with a lot of stuff lately... I do get the feeling that there's going to be a lot of Hiroshima-ben in this book.

Here we have more food tasting and more chibi supernatural creatures. I am starting to notice a pattern here. It seems that although the demons fulfill the same role as the princesses, Onga interacts with them in a much more casual way. However, it's clear that he's still very affectionate to them.

Onga: If you eat it and say it’s delicious, that’s good enough for me.

Giant rice paddle

恩賀:ダメ!!
Onga: No!!

さんさん:けち
San-San: Meanie

Notes: On page 14 we see the shop sign for Kakiya for the first time. The pun is spelled on the sign because you can see the kanji of "demon" "fire" and "shop" can also be read to sound like "oyster shop."

The giant rice paddle shows up for the first time, and we'll see the full display on page 19.
